Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Audiovisual Technician Assistant to join our dynamic healthcare team in Dubai. The successful candidate will support the audiovisual (AV) operations within our healthcare facilities, ensuring seamless integration and functioning of AV equipment for presentations, training sessions, and patient education programs. This role is crucial in maintaining high standards of audiovisual quality and reliability in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- AV Equipment Setup and Operation: Assist in the setup, operation, and breakdown of audiovisual equipment for various events, including conferences, meetings, and training sessions. This includes projectors, microphones, speakers, video conferencing systems, and other related hardware.
- Technical Support: Provide technical support during AV events, troubleshooting issues promptly to minimize disruptions. Monitor equipment performance and make adjustments as necessary to ensure optimal audio and visual quality.
- Maintenance and Repair: Conduct routine inspections and maintenance of AV equipment to ensure all systems are functioning efficiently. Assist with the repair of audiovisual equipment and liaise with external vendors for more complex repairs when necessary.
- Inventory Management: Maintain an organized inventory of AV equipment and supplies, ensuring all items are accounted for and in good working condition. Assist in the ordering of new equipment and supplies as needed.
- Collaboration: Work closely with healthcare staff, educators, and event coordinators to understand AV requirements for various functions. Provide recommendations for AV solutions that enhance the learning and patient experience.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of equipment usage, maintenance schedules, and repairs. Assist in creating user manuals and guidelines for staff on the effective use of AV equipment.
- Training: Assist in training healthcare staff on basic AV operations, ensuring they are comfortable and knowledgeable in using AV systems during presentations and meetings.
- Health and Safety Compliance: Adhere to all health and safety regulations, ensuring that AV setups comply with hospital standards and protocols.
Qualifications:
- Education: A diploma or degree in Audiovisual Technology, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in audiovisual technology support, preferably in a healthcare setting.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in operating various audiovisual equipment and software, including video conferencing tools, sound systems, and presentation software. Familiarity with AV control systems is a plus.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to think critically under pressure.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information to non-technical staff effectively.
- Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment and support colleagues in achieving common goals.
- Flexibility: Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as required by the demands of events and training sessions.
