We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized individual to join our team as a Book Editor Assistant in Dubai, UAE. The ideal candidate will have a passion for the aerospace and defense industry and possess excellent editing and organizational skills.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the book editor in reviewing and editing manuscripts related to aerospace and defense topics
- Proofread and fact-check content to ensure accuracy and consistency
- Coordinate with authors, contributors, and other team members to ensure timely completion of projects
- Assist with research and fact-finding for book projects
- Manage and organize editorial schedules and deadlines
- Assist with marketing and promotional activities for published books
- Perform other administrative tasks as needed
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in English, Journalism, Communications, or related field
- Strong editing and proofreading skills
- Knowledge of aerospace and defense industry terminology and concepts
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Prior experience in a similar role for at least 2 years
