Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Bookkeeper Assistant to join our dynamic finance team within the consumer goods sector. The ideal candidate will support the bookkeeping functions with accuracy and efficiency, ensuring that financial records are maintained, reconciled, and reported in a timely manner. Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in maintaining accurate financial records, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Process invoices, payments, and receipts in a timely manner, ensuring compliance with company policies.
- Conduct regular reconciliations of bank statements and general ledger accounts.
- Support month-end and year-end closing processes by preparing necessary documentation and reports.
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements, budgets, and forecasts.
- Record and monitor daily transactions, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Maintain organized financial filing systems for easy retrieval and reference.
- Collaborate with internal departments to ensure accurate financial reporting and resolve any discrepancies.
- Provide support during audits by preparing required documentation and assisting auditors as needed.
- Stay up to date with relevant accounting regulations and industry trends.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
- 2 to 5 years of experience in bookkeeping or accounting, preferably within the consumer goods industry.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, or similar) and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and practices.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Fluency in English; knowledge of Arabic is a plus.
