Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Budget Planner to join our dynamic team in the Information Technology sector. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in developing, managing, and analyzing the IT budget to ensure the efficient allocation of resources and alignment with the strategic goals of the organization. This position requires a blend of financial acumen, analytical skills, and an understanding of IT operations.

Key Responsibilities:

- Budget Development: Collaborate with IT leadership to prepare and manage the annual budget. Gather input from various departments to create a comprehensive financial plan that aligns with business objectives.

- Financial Analysis: Conduct detailed financial analyses to support decision-making. Monitor and analyze budgets, expenses, and forecasts to ensure financial targets are met.

- Reporting: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for stakeholders. Provide insights into budget variances and recommend corrective actions as needed.

- Forecasting: Develop and maintain financial models to project future financial performance. Assess trends and variances to inform strategic planning.

- Cost Management: Analyze IT spending and identify opportunities for cost savings. Work closely with department heads to drive budget adherence and promote financial accountability.

- Risk Management: Identify potential financial risks and develop strategies to mitigate them. Ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures.

- Collaboration: Collaborate with the finance team and other departments to ensure alignment of budgeting processes and support cross-functional initiatives.

- Continuous Improvement: Identify and implement best practices for budgeting and financial management within the IT department. Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in budgeting technology.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master’s degree or relevant professional certification (e.g., CFA, CPA) is a plus.

- 3 to 7 years of experience in budgeting, financial planning, and analysis, preferably within the Information Technology sector.

- Strong knowledge of financial modeling, forecasting, and variance analysis.

- Proficiency in budget management software and advanced Excel skills.

- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities with a keen attention to detail.

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively present financial information to non-financial stakeholders.

- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
