Job Description:

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Data Scientist Assistant to join our team in the agriculture sector based in Dubai. As a Data Scientist Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting our data analysis and research projects aimed at enhancing agricultural practices through data-driven insights. This position is ideal for individuals who are passionate about agriculture and have a strong foundation in data science methodologies.

Key Responsibilities:

- Assist in collecting, cleaning, and processing agricultural data from various sources, including field sensors, satellite imagery, and market reports.
- Collaborate with senior data scientists to analyze complex datasets and extract actionable insights to improve crop yield, pest management, and resource optimization.
- Utilize statistical analysis, machine learning algorithms, and data visualization techniques to support research initiatives and project goals.
- Develop and maintain dashboards and visualizations to effectively communicate findings to stakeholders and decision-makers.
- Conduct exploratory data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies within agricultural datasets.
- Support the development and implementation of predictive models to forecast agricultural outcomes, such as yield predictions and market trends.
- Assist in preparing reports and presentations that summarize research findings and recommendations for internal and external stakeholders.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in data science and agriculture technology, contributing innovative ideas to the team.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Agriculture, or a related field.
- A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in data analysis, preferably in the agriculture or environmental sector.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or R, along with experience in data manipulation libraries (e.g., Pandas, NumPy).
- Familiarity with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar.
- Solid understanding of statistical methods and machine learning techniques.
- Experience with database management and querying languages (SQL) is a plus.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to present complex information clearly to various audiences.
