Job Description:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Finance Assistant to join our dynamic finance team in the healthcare sector in Dubai. The ideal candidate will support the financial operations of our organization, ensuring accuracy and compliance in all financial transactions and reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Financial Record Keeping:
- Maintain accurate financial records and databases, including accounts payable and receivable, general ledger entries, and bank reconciliations.
- Assist in the preparation and processing of invoices, expense reports, and payment requests.
2. Reporting and Analysis:
- Assist in the preparation of monthly financial reports, including budget vs. actual analysis and variance reporting.
- Support the finance team in the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts.
3. Compliance and Audit:
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, policies, and procedures in financial transactions.
- Assist in the preparation for internal and external audits and implement any recommended changes for compliance.
4. Support Financial Processes:
- Provide administrative support for payroll processing and ensure timely and accurate payment to employees.
- Assist in monitoring and reconciling financial discrepancies and resolving any issues in a timely manner.
5. Communication:
- Liaise with other departments to gather financial information and provide assistance as needed.
- Respond to inquiries from staff and management regarding financial transactions and policies.
6. Ad Hoc Duties:
- Participate in special projects and initiatives as required by the finance manager or senior leadership.
- Continuously seek opportunities to improve financial processes and systems.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
- A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in finance or accounting, preferably within the healthcare industry.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations.
- Proficiency in financial software and MS Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Fluent in English; proficiency in Arabic is an advantage.
