Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Freelance Editor with a strong background in the pharmaceutical industry to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional editing skills, a keen understanding of pharmaceutical terminology, and the ability to communicate complex scientific concepts clearly and accurately.

Key Responsibilities:

- Edit and proofread a variety of pharmaceutical documents, including research papers, regulatory submissions, marketing materials, and training manuals, ensuring clarity, coherence, and adherence to industry standards.
- Collaborate with authors, researchers, and marketing teams to enhance the quality of written content while maintaining the original intent and message.
- Ensure all materials comply with relevant regulations and guidelines, including those set forth by the FDA, EMA, and other relevant bodies.
- Conduct fact-checking and verification of data, ensuring all scientific information is accurate and up-to-date.
- Provide constructive feedback to writers and researchers to improve the quality of future submissions.
- Maintain a consistent editorial style across all documents, aligning with the company’s branding and communication strategies.
- Stay current with industry trends, advancements in pharmaceuticals, and best practices in editing and publishing.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously while adhering to deadlines and maintaining a high standard of quality.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Life Sciences, Pharmacy, or a related field. A Master’s degree is a plus.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in editing within the pharmaceutical or scientific field.
- Strong understanding of medical and pharmaceutical terminology and concepts.
- Proven ability to edit complex scientific documents for clarity and accuracy.
- Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a freelance capacity.
- Proficient in editing software and tools, as well as Microsoft Office Suite.

Preferred Skills:

- Experience with regulatory submissions and knowledge of compliance standards.
- Familiarity with digital publishing platforms and content management systems.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams.
