Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Government Program Coordinator to join our team in Dubai, focusing on agricultural initiatives. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in managing and coordinating government programs aimed at enhancing agricultural productivity, sustainability, and innovation. This position requires strong organizational skills, excellent communication abilities, and a deep understanding of the agricultural sector within the UAE.
Key Responsibilities:
- Program Management: Oversee the planning, implementation, and evaluation of government-sponsored agricultural programs and initiatives. Ensure that all activities align with government policies and objectives.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain relationships with government agencies, non-governmental organizations, agricultural stakeholders, and community representatives. Facilitate communication and collaboration among all parties involved.
- Research and Analysis: Conduct research on agricultural trends, policies, and best practices. Analyze data to inform program development and decision-making processes.
- Reporting: Prepare and submit regular reports to government officials and stakeholders detailing program progress, challenges, and outcomes. Ensure compliance with all reporting requirements.
- Budget Management: Assist in the preparation and management of program budgets, ensuring that resources are allocated effectively and efficiently.
- Capacity Building: Organize and deliver training sessions, workshops, and seminars for farmers, agricultural workers, and community members to enhance their skills and knowledge in sustainable agricultural practices.
- Policy Development: Collaborate with government entities to develop and refine agricultural policies and regulations that promote sustainability, innovation, and economic growth in the sector.
- Monitoring and Evaluation: Establish monitoring and evaluation frameworks to assess the impact and effectiveness of government programs. Use findings to make recommendations for improvements or adjustments.
- Public Awareness Campaigns: Develop and implement public awareness campaigns to promote government agricultural initiatives and engage the community in sustainable practices.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Sciences, Environmental Studies, Public Administration, or a related field. A Master’s degree is a plus.
- Minimum of 3 to 7 years of experience in program coordination, project management, or related roles within the agricultural sector or government programs.
- Strong understanding of agricultural practices, policies, and issues specific to the UAE.
- Proven experience in stakeholder engagement and relationship management.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and Arabic (preferred).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and project management software.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
