Job Description:

We are seeking a motivated and talented Industrial Designer Assistant to join our dynamic team in the Aerospace and Defense sector. The ideal candidate will be passionate about design and innovation, with a keen interest in the application of design principles in high-tech environments. This role provides an opportunity to work alongside experienced industrial designers and contribute to the development of cutting-edge aerospace and defense products.

Key Responsibilities:

- Assist in the conceptualization and development of design solutions for aerospace and defense projects.
- Collaborate with senior industrial designers to create sketches, 3D models, and prototypes using CAD software.
- Conduct research on industry trends, materials, and technologies to support design initiatives.
- Prepare presentations and design documentation for internal reviews and client meetings.
- Participate in brainstorming sessions and contribute creative ideas for product design improvement.
- Assist in the testing and evaluation of prototypes, gathering feedback for design refinement.
- Maintain organized records of design files, including drawings, specifications, and project notes.
- Help ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards throughout the design process.
- Work closely with other team members, including engineers and project managers, to facilitate effective communication and project execution.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Design, Product Design, or a related field.
- 1 to 5 years of experience in industrial design, preferably in aerospace and defense.
- Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, CATIA, AutoCAD) and 3D modeling tools.
- Strong understanding of design principles, materials, and manufacturing processes.
- Excellent sketching and visualization skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment while also being self-motivated.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Attention to detail and a passion for innovation and problem-solving.

Preferred Skills:

- Experience with rendering software (e.g., KeyShot, Adobe Creative Suite).
- Familiarity with aerospace and defense industry standards and regulations.
- Knowledge of ergonomic design and human factors considerations.
