Job Summary:
We are seeking a motivated and creative Interior Design Assistant to join our dynamic team specializing in healthcare environments in Abu Dhabi. The ideal candidate will support our interior design team in creating functional, safe, and aesthetically pleasing spaces that enhance patient and staff experiences in various healthcare settings. This role requires a keen eye for detail, strong organizational skills, and a passion for design.

Key Responsibilities:

- Assistance in Design Development: Support lead designers in developing concepts for healthcare interiors, including patient rooms, waiting areas, and administrative spaces, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations and standards.

- Research and Analysis: Conduct research on current design trends, materials, and technologies relevant to healthcare interiors. Analyze the impact of design on patient outcomes and experiences.

- Space Planning: Assist in space planning tasks, including drafting and revising floor plans using design software. Ensure efficient use of space while adhering to functional requirements.

- Material Selection: Help in selecting appropriate materials, finishes, and furnishings that meet both design aesthetics and healthcare operational needs. Create mood boards and material samples for client presentations.

- Documentation: Prepare and maintain design documentation, including drawings, specifications, and schedules. Assist in the creation of presentation materials for client meetings.

- Collaboration: Work closely with architects, engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure design intent is realized throughout the project lifecycle. Attend project meetings and contribute to discussions.

- Project Coordination: Assist in coordinating project timelines, budgets, and schedules. Monitor project progress and communicate updates to the design team.

- Site Visits: Participate in site visits to assess the implementation of design concepts and ensure quality control. Document observations and report any issues to the design team.

- Client Interaction: Assist in client meetings and presentations, capturing feedback and addressing any concerns related to design proposals.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in interior design, preferably within the healthcare sector.
- Proficiency in design software, such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, and Microsoft Office.
- Strong understanding of healthcare design principles, codes, and regulations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- A portfolio showcasing relevant design work is preferred.
