Position Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen Assistant to join our dynamic team in Abu Dhabi, supporting the culinary operations within our telecommunications company. This role is vital in ensuring that our kitchen runs smoothly, providing our employees with high-quality meals and maintaining a clean and organized environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work well in a team setting.

Key Responsibilities:

- Food Preparation: Assist in the preparation of meals by chopping vegetables, preparing sauces, and assembling dishes according to set recipes and standards.
- Kitchen Maintenance: Ensure cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including washing dishes, cleaning countertops, and maintaining kitchen equipment.
- Stock Management: Assist in inventory management by checking stock levels, organizing supplies, and notifying the head chef of any shortages.
- Health and Safety Compliance: Adhere to all food safety and hygiene regulations, ensuring that all food is stored, prepared, and served in a safe manner.
- Support Culinary Staff: Work closely with chefs and kitchen staff to assist in meal service, including plating and presentation of dishes.
- Team Collaboration: Communicate effectively with team members to coordinate kitchen activities and ensure efficient service delivery.
- Waste Management: Dispose of food waste in accordance with company policies and assist in implementing sustainability practices within the kitchen.
- Customer Service: Occasionally assist in serving food and beverages, ensuring that all employees have a pleasant dining experience.

Qualifications:

- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a kitchen assistant or in a similar role preferred, with 1-3 years of experience.
- Basic cooking skills and knowledge of food safety practices.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Team player with a positive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Flexibility in working hours, including weekends and holidays as needed.

Physical Requirements:

- Ability to lift heavy items (up to 25 kg) and stand for long periods.
- Manual dexterity for using kitchen tools and equipment.
