Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Lactation Specialist to join our dynamic team in the real estate sector, focusing on enhancing the wellness and family-friendly services we provide to our clients and employees. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of lactation management, breastfeeding practices, and maternal and infant health. This role is vital in promoting a supportive environment for new mothers, ensuring they have access to the resources and guidance needed for successful breastfeeding.

Key Responsibilities:

- Consultation and Support: Provide individualized consultation and support to new mothers regarding breastfeeding techniques, management of lactation issues, and nutritional guidance for breastfeeding mothers.
- Education and Workshops: Develop and facilitate workshops and educational sessions for employees and clients on the benefits of breastfeeding, proper positioning, and common challenges faced by breastfeeding mothers.
- Resource Development: Create and distribute educational materials, such as pamphlets and online resources, to promote breastfeeding awareness and support within our community.
- Collaboration: Work closely with healthcare providers, pediatricians, and community organizations to ensure comprehensive care and support for breastfeeding mothers.
- Policy Development: Assist in the development and implementation of workplace policies that support breastfeeding mothers, including designated breastfeeding areas and flexible schedules for nursing mothers.
- Follow-Up Care: Provide ongoing support and follow-up consultations for mothers experiencing breastfeeding challenges, ensuring they have access to continued resources and care.
- Training and Mentorship: Mentor and train staff on lactation issues, encouraging a culture of support and understanding for breastfeeding in the workplace.
- Data Collection and Analysis: Gather and analyze data on breastfeeding rates and challenges within the organization to inform future programs and policies.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, Public Health, Nutrition, or a related field.
- Certified Lactation Consultant (CLC) or International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) is highly preferred.
- Minimum of 3-7 years of experience in lactation consulting or maternal and infant health.
- Strong understanding of cultural practices related to breastfeeding, particularly within the UAE context.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and educate diverse audiences.
- Experience in program development and community outreach is a plus.
- Passion for maternal and child health and a commitment to promoting breastfeeding as a key component of family well-being.
