We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mine Safety Specialist to join our team in Abu Dhabi. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mine safety regulations and procedures, with a focus on transportation and logistics.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and maintain safety policies and procedures for mining operations within the transportation and logistics industry.
- Conduct regular safety inspections of mine sites to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Provide training and education to mine personnel on safety protocols and best practices.
- Investigate accidents and incidents to determine root causes and develop strategies for prevention.
- Collaborate with management and employees to create a culture of safety and accountability within the organization.
- Stay current on industry trends and regulatory changes related to mine safety.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in occupational health and safety, environmental science, or a related field.
- [X] years of experience in mine safety within the transportation and logistics industry.
- Strong knowledge of local and international safety regulations and best practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Certification in mine safety and health is preferred but not required.
