Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Park Maintenance Worker Assistant to join our team in Dubai. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in maintaining and enhancing the beauty of our parks and green spaces, ensuring a safe, clean, and enjoyable environment for the community. This position involves hands-on work in various outdoor settings, requiring physical stamina and a proactive attitude.

Key Responsibilities:

- Assist in the maintenance and upkeep of parks, gardens, and recreational areas, ensuring all spaces are clean and inviting.
- Perform routine landscaping tasks, including mowing lawns, trimming hedges, planting flowers, and maintaining garden beds.
- Help with the installation and maintenance of park facilities, such as benches, trash receptacles, and signage.
- Participate in irrigation system maintenance, including troubleshooting issues and ensuring efficient water usage.
- Assist with the removal of debris, litter, and fallen branches to maintain a clean environment.
- Support the implementation of park improvement projects, including planting trees and shrubs, and creating new garden layouts.
- Collaborate with full-time maintenance staff to ensure safety protocols and best practices are followed at all times.
- Report any maintenance needs or safety hazards to supervisors promptly.
- Help with seasonal preparations, including snow removal in the winter and summer landscaping tasks.
- Participate in community outreach programs to educate visitors about park conservation and maintenance efforts.

Qualifications:

- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Experience in landscaping, horticulture, or general maintenance preferred (1-5 years).
- Basic knowledge of plant care and landscape maintenance techniques.
- Familiarity with hand tools and power equipment used in park maintenance, such as lawnmowers, trimmers, and blowers.
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and perform physically demanding tasks.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality work.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment.
- Valid UAE driving license is advantageous.

Physical Requirements:

- Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs).
- Stamina to perform physical labor for extended periods.
- Capability to work in various environmental conditions, including heat, rain, and dust.
