Job Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Pool Maintenance Worker to join our team in Abu Dhabi, specifically within the telecommunications sector. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the upkeep, maintenance, and cleaning of swimming pools and associated facilities, ensuring a safe and pleasant environment for all users. This role demands a detail-oriented individual who can work independently and is committed to maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

- Perform routine inspections and maintenance of swimming pools and related areas to ensure they meet health and safety regulations.
- Clean and maintain pool surfaces, including brushing and vacuuming to remove debris and contaminants.
- Monitor water quality through regular testing and treatment with appropriate chemicals to maintain pH and chlorine levels.
- Troubleshoot and repair pool equipment, including pumps, filters, and heaters; perform regular maintenance on these systems.
- Maintain accurate records of water quality tests, maintenance schedules, and inventory of supplies and equipment.
- Collaborate with management to develop and implement preventative maintenance programs for pools and associated facilities.
- Respond to any maintenance requests or concerns from clients or staff promptly and professionally.
- Ensure compliance with all local health and safety regulations regarding pool maintenance and operation.
- Provide assistance and guidance to clients regarding pool usage, safety measures, and maintenance practices.
- Participate in training programs to stay updated on best practices and new technologies in pool maintenance.

Qualifications:

- High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications in pool maintenance or water quality management are preferred.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in pool maintenance or a related field.
- Familiarity with the specific needs and maintenance requirements of pools in the telecommunications sector is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of pool chemicals and their proper handling and storage.
- Ability to operate and maintain various pool maintenance equipment and tools.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Physical Requirements:

- Ability to lift heavy equipment and perform physical tasks related to pool maintenance.
- Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Must be able to swim and perform rescues if necessary.
