Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and vigilant Security Officer Assistant to join our team in the construction sector. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in maintaining a safe and secure environment on our construction sites. This position requires a proactive approach to security management and the ability to work collaboratively with other team members to ensure the safety of personnel, equipment, and property.

Key Responsibilities:

- Site Surveillance: Monitor and patrol construction sites to deter unauthorized access and ensure compliance with security protocols. Regularly check security cameras and alarms, reporting any suspicious activity immediately.

- Access Control: Manage entry and exit points for personnel and vehicles, ensuring that only authorized individuals are permitted on site. Conduct thorough checks of identification and credentials.

- Incident Response: Assist in responding to security incidents, emergencies, or disturbances. Collaborate with local law enforcement or emergency services as necessary, and document all incidents in detail.

- Safety Inspections: Conduct routine inspections of the site to identify potential security risks or safety hazards. Report findings to the Security Officer and recommend corrective actions.

- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of daily activities, incidents, and security breaches. Prepare reports and submit them to the Security Officer for review.

- Collaboration: Work closely with site management, contractors, and other security personnel to implement security strategies and protocols effectively.

- Training and Awareness: Assist in training new security staff on site-specific procedures and emergency protocols. Promote a culture of safety and security awareness among all personnel on site.

- Emergency Preparedness: Participate in emergency drills and contribute to the development of emergency response plans. Ensure that emergency equipment (fire extinguishers, first aid kits, etc.) is readily available and maintained.

Qualifications:

- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a security role, preferably within the construction industry.
- High school diploma or equivalent; relevant security certifications (e.g., SIRA) are preferred.
- Strong observational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to remain calm and composed in high-pressure situations.
- Familiarity with security systems and equipment, including CCTV and alarm systems.
- Basic first aid and CPR certification is advantageous.

Working Conditions:

- Must be available to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- The role may require outdoor work in various weather conditions.
