Job Description:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Actuary to join our dynamic team in the manufacturing sector in Abu Dhabi. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in analyzing and managing financial risks associated with our manufacturing operations. This position requires a deep understanding of actuarial principles, strong analytical skills, and the ability to communicate complex concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive risk assessments for our manufacturing processes, including evaluating the impact of market trends, regulatory changes, and operational risks.
- Develop and implement actuarial models to forecast future liabilities and assess the financial performance of products and services.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including finance, production, and compliance, to design and refine risk management strategies.
- Provide expert advice on pricing strategies, reserves, and capital management to optimize profitability and ensure financial stability.
- Prepare detailed reports and presentations for senior management and stakeholders, summarizing findings and recommending actionable strategies.
- Stay updated on industry trends, regulatory changes, and advancements in actuarial science to continuously improve analytical methodologies.
- Mentor and train junior actuaries and analysts, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional development within the team.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant actuarial experience, preferably in the manufacturing industry.
- Strong knowledge of actuarial principles, risk management frameworks, and financial modeling techniques.
- Proficiency in actuarial software and programming languages (e.g., SAS, R, Python, Excel).
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey complex information to diverse audiences.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
- Professional actuarial designation (e.g., ASA, FSA, FIA) is preferred but not mandatory.
