Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Data Architect to join our dynamic team in Sharjah. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and managing our data architecture to support our transportation and logistics operations. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure data integrity, scalability, and security, while leveraging innovative solutions to enhance our data management capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Data Architecture Design:
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive data architecture strategy that aligns with the overall business objectives and operational needs.
- Design and implement scalable data models and databases that support various applications and analytics platforms.

2. Data Governance:
- Establish data governance frameworks and best practices to ensure data quality, consistency, and compliance with relevant regulations.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define data standards and policies.

3. Data Integration:
- Oversee the integration of data from various sources, including internal systems, external partners, and IoT devices, to create a unified data ecosystem.
- Develop ETL processes to transform raw data into actionable insights.

4. Collaboration and Support:
- Work closely with data scientists, business analysts, and IT teams to understand data requirements and provide solutions that meet their needs.
- Support the development of analytical tools and dashboards for data visualization and reporting.

5. Performance Optimization:
- Monitor and optimize database performance, ensuring high availability and reliability of data services.
- Identify and resolve data-related issues and bottlenecks promptly.

6. Technology Evaluation:
- Stay updated with emerging technologies and trends in data architecture and analytics.
- Evaluate and recommend new data management tools and technologies to enhance our capabilities.

7. Documentation and Training:
- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for data architecture, processes, and standards.
- Conduct training sessions for team members and stakeholders on data management best practices.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years and up to 8 years of experience in data architecture, data modeling, and database design, preferably within the transportation and logistics sector.
- Strong proficiency in SQL and experience with various database management systems (e.g., Oracle, MySQL, SQL Server, PostgreSQL).
- Experience with big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark) and cloud data platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
- Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) and data integration tools (e.g., Talend, Informatica).
- Solid understanding of data governance, data quality, and data security principles.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
