Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Project Accountant to join our dynamic team in Dubai, specializing in the financial services sector. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the financial aspects of various projects, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations, and providing financial analysis and support to project managers. This role requires a strong understanding of financial management principles, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.

Key Responsibilities:

- Oversee and manage the financial aspects of multiple projects concurrently, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
- Prepare and analyze project financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
- Develop and maintain project budgets, track expenses, and provide variance analysis to project managers.
- Collaborate with project teams to establish financial controls and ensure projects are delivered within budgetary constraints.
- Monitor project cash flows and work closely with the finance team to ensure timely invoicing and collections.
- Assist in the preparation of project-related financial reports for internal and external stakeholders.
- Conduct regular financial reviews and audits of projects to identify areas for improvement and ensure compliance with company policies and regulations.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior accounting staff, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
- Support the finance department in the development and implementation of financial policies and procedures.
- Stay updated on industry trends and regulatory changes to ensure the company remains compliant and competitive.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A professional accounting qualification (CPA, ACCA, CMA, etc.) is highly desirable.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in project accounting or financial management within the financial services industry.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and regulatory requirements.
- Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Excel; experience with ERP systems is a plus.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of UAE financial regulations and practices is an advantage.
