Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior QA Specialist to join our dynamic team in Dubai's retail sector. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in quality assurance, with a focus on retail applications and systems. As a Senior QA Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products through rigorous testing methodologies and best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

- Quality Assurance Strategy: Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive QA strategies and methodologies to ensure the highest quality standards for retail applications.

- Test Planning and Execution: Create detailed test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on functional and non-functional requirements. Execute tests, document results, and track defects through to resolution.

- Automation Testing: Lead the development and implementation of automated testing processes and frameworks to enhance testing efficiency and coverage.

- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, product managers, and business analysts, to understand requirements and provide feedback on quality issues.

- Performance Testing: Conduct performance and load testing to ensure applications can handle expected traffic and usage patterns.

- Defect Management: Identify, document, and track defects using appropriate tools. Collaborate with development teams to facilitate timely resolutions.

- Continuous Improvement: Analyze testing processes and methodologies, recommending improvements to enhance productivity and effectiveness.

- Mentoring: Provide mentorship and guidance to junior QA team members, fostering a culture of quality and excellence within the team.

- Compliance: Ensure that all QA activities adhere to industry standards, regulatory requirements, and internal policies.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in quality assurance within the retail sector, with a proven track record of successful project delivery.
- Strong knowledge of software testing methodologies, tools, and best practices.
- Experience with automation testing tools (e.g., Selenium, QTP, or similar).
- Familiarity with performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, LoadRunner).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies is a plus.
- Knowledge of retail systems and e-commerce platforms is highly desirable.
