Job Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Test Engineer to join our dynamic team in Dubai, specializing in the energy sector. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our energy solutions through rigorous testing and evaluation processes. This position requires a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and experience in both manual and automated testing.

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and testing scripts for energy systems and software applications.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including software developers, product managers, and project stakeholders, to understand requirements and ensure comprehensive test coverage.
- Identify, document, and track defects using issue-tracking systems, ensuring timely resolution and retesting.
- Conduct functional, integration, system, and performance testing to validate the functionality and performance of energy products.
- Automate testing processes where applicable, utilizing relevant testing tools and frameworks to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Participate in design and code reviews, providing feedback on potential testing issues and improvement opportunities.
- Analyze test results and provide clear, actionable reports to stakeholders, including insights into product quality and areas for improvement.
- Maintain testing environments and tools, ensuring they are up-to-date and functioning optimally.
- Stay current with industry trends and best practices in testing methodologies, tools, and technologies relevant to the energy sector.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- A minimum of 3 years to 5 years of experience in software or hardware testing, preferably in the energy sector.
- Proficiency in testing methodologies, tools, and best practices, including both manual and automated testing techniques.
- Experience with testing frameworks and automation tools (e.g., Selenium, JUnit, TestNG, etc.).
- Strong understanding of energy systems, including renewable energy technologies and traditional energy solutions.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively collaborate with technical and non-technical teams.
- Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies is a plus.
- Familiarity with regulatory compliance and safety standards in the energy industry is desirable.
