Position Overview:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Academic Manager to lead our agricultural education programs in Dubai. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in enhancing the quality of education, developing curriculum, overseeing academic staff, and ensuring that our agricultural training programs meet the highest standards. The Academic Manager will work closely with faculty, industry partners, and stakeholders to foster a culture of academic excellence and innovation in the field of agriculture.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Program Development:
- Design and implement innovative agricultural curriculum that meets current industry standards and educational best practices.
- Collaborate with faculty and industry experts to ensure the curriculum remains relevant and incorporates the latest agricultural research and technology.

2. Academic Leadership:
- Provide leadership and direction to faculty and academic staff, fostering an environment of collaboration, growth, and continuous improvement.
- Conduct regular evaluations of academic programs and teaching effectiveness, using data-driven approaches to enhance educational outcomes.

3. Quality Assurance:
- Develop and oversee quality assurance processes to ensure compliance with educational standards and regulations.
- Implement assessment strategies that measure student learning and program effectiveness.

4. Faculty Development:
- Organize professional development programs for faculty to enhance teaching skills, research capabilities, and industry knowledge.
- Mentor and support faculty in their academic and professional growth.

5. Student Support and Engagement:
- Develop strategies to enhance student engagement and retention in agricultural programs.
- Address student concerns and provide academic guidance to ensure a positive educational experience.

6. Partnerships and Outreach:
- Establish and maintain partnerships with agricultural organizations, research institutions, and industry stakeholders to promote collaboration and opportunities for students.
- Represent the institution at conferences, workshops, and other events to promote academic programs and build relationships within the agricultural community.

7. Administrative Responsibilities:
- Oversee the academic budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources for educational initiatives and faculty development.
- Prepare reports and presentations for senior management on academic performance and program developments.

Qualifications:

- Master’s degree in Agriculture, Agricultural Education, or a related field. A Ph.D. is preferred.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in academic management or a related field, preferably within the agricultural sector.
- Strong understanding of agricultural practices, educational methodologies, and curriculum development.
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate academic staff and students.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a strong ability to build relationships with diverse stakeholders.
- Experience in quality assurance and assessment processes within an academic setting.
- Proficiency in using educational technology and learning management systems.
