Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Applications Analyst Assistant to support our applications team in the Aerospace and Defense sector. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting in the maintenance, support, and enhancement of various software applications used within the organization. This role is crucial to ensuring our systems remain efficient and effective to meet the demands of a rapidly evolving industry.

Key Responsibilities:

- Assist in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of software applications used across the organization.
- Support users by troubleshooting application-related issues and providing timely resolutions.
- Collaborate with the Applications Analyst team to gather user requirements and document functional specifications for new applications or enhancements to existing systems.
- Conduct preliminary testing of applications and software updates to ensure functionality and performance standards are met.
- Monitor application performance and generate reports to identify areas for improvement.
- Provide training and support to end-users, including creating user manuals and documentation.
- Assist in the development of project plans and timelines for application deployment and upgrades.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute ideas for improving application functionality and user experience.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in software applications relevant to Aerospace and Defense.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 2 to 5 years of experience in applications support or a related role, preferably in the Aerospace and Defense industry.
- Strong understanding of software development lifecycle and application deployment processes.
- Familiarity with database management systems and basic programming/scripting languages.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact effectively with technical and non-technical users.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Knowledge of aerospace and defense regulations and compliance standards is a plus.
