Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Applications Analyst to join our dynamic team in the Aerospace and Defense sector in Dubai. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in supporting and optimizing our software applications, ensuring they meet the evolving needs of our clients and internal stakeholders. This position requires an analytical mindset, strong problem-solving skills, and a passion for technology and innovation within the aerospace and defense industry.

Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze business requirements for software applications within the Aerospace and Defense domain.
- Perform system configuration, customization, and integration of applications to enhance functionality and user experience.
- Monitor application performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement solutions to improve operational efficiency.
- Conduct regular audits and assessments of application systems to ensure compliance with industry standards and security protocols.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for all applications, including user manuals, technical specifications, and training materials.
- Assist in the testing and validation of new software releases, upgrades, and patches to ensure seamless implementation.
- Provide training and support to end-users to maximize the effective use of applications and tools.
- Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies, identifying opportunities for innovation and improvement in application systems.
- Collaborate with IT and project management teams to support project initiatives and ensure alignment with organizational goals.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- 3 to 7 years of experience in applications analysis, support, and management, preferably within the Aerospace and Defense sector.
- Strong understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and methodologies such as Agile or Waterfall.
- Proficiency in application management tools, databases, and programming languages (e.g., SQL, Java, Python).
- Familiarity with aerospace and defense standards and regulations (e.g., DO-178C, DO-254) is a plus.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Experience with project management tools and techniques is advantageous.

Working Conditions:
- This position is based in Dubai, UAE, and may require occasional travel to client sites or other locations as needed.
- Flexibility in working hours may be required to accommodate project timelines and stakeholder needs.
