Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Asphalt Paving Operator to join our dynamic team in Abu Dhabi’s healthcare sector. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating paving machinery to create smooth, durable asphalt surfaces for healthcare facilities and related infrastructure. This role requires a strong focus on safety, quality, and efficiency to ensure that our paving projects meet the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities:

- Operate various types of asphalt paving equipment, including but not limited to pavers, rollers, and other associated machinery.
- Prepare the job site by performing checks and maintenance on equipment to ensure operational efficiency and safety.
- Collaborate with project managers and construction teams to analyze project specifications and requirements.
- Ensure proper mixing and application of asphalt materials according to industry standards and project guidelines.
- Monitor the paving process to ensure the quality and integrity of the surface being laid, making adjustments as necessary.
- Conduct routine inspections of completed work to identify any defects and implement corrective measures as needed.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following all safety protocols and regulations.
- Complete daily reports on job progress, equipment status, and any issues encountered during the paving process.
- Assist in training and mentoring junior operators and laborers on proper equipment operation and safety practices.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations, particularly those specific to the healthcare environment.

Qualifications:

- High school diploma or equivalent; additional vocational training in construction or heavy machinery operation is preferred.
- Minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience as an Asphalt Paving Operator or in a similar role within the construction industry.
- Proven experience in operating paving equipment, including knowledge of maintenance and repair practices.
- Familiarity with asphalt mixtures, paving techniques, and industry best practices.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to operate heavy machinery safely.

Skills:

- Proficient in the operation of asphalt paving and compaction equipment.
- Knowledgeable about safety regulations and procedures, particularly in a healthcare setting.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Physical stamina and strength to perform demanding tasks in various weather conditions.
