Position Overview:

We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Assistant Fashion Designer to join our innovative team in Dubai. This unique role combines the realms of fashion design and agriculture, focusing on creating sustainable, eco-friendly fashion solutions that reflect the rich cultural heritage of the region while promoting agricultural sustainability. The ideal candidate will have a passion for fashion and a keen understanding of agricultural practices, enabling them to design products that are both aesthetically pleasing and environmentally responsible.

Key Responsibilities:

- Assist the Lead Fashion Designer in conceptualizing and developing seasonal collections inspired by agricultural themes, sustainability, and cultural influences.
- Research and analyze current fashion trends, market demands, and consumer preferences to inform design decisions.
- Collaborate with agricultural experts to identify materials and textiles derived from sustainable agricultural practices.
- Create detailed sketches, technical drawings, and digital designs using industry-standard software.
- Participate in fabric selection and sourcing, ensuring that materials align with sustainability goals and meet quality standards.
- Help in the preparation and presentation of design proposals and mood boards to stakeholders and clients.
- Coordinate fittings, analyze garment construction, and provide constructive feedback on sample garments.
- Maintain organized records of designs, samples, and project timelines.
- Assist in the organization of fashion shows and promotional events, showcasing the intersection of fashion and agriculture.
- Stay updated on industry innovations, sustainability practices, and emerging trends in both fashion and agriculture.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design, Textile Design, or a related field.
- A minimum of 2-5 years of experience in fashion design or a related area, preferably with exposure to sustainable practices.
- Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop) and CAD programs.
- Strong understanding of textiles, garment construction, and sustainable materials.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced team environment.
- Creative mindset with a strong attention to detail and a passion for innovative fashion design.
- Knowledge of the agricultural sector and its impact on fashion is a plus.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
