Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Biomedical Equipment Technician to join our educational institution in Dubai. The successful candidate will be responsible for the maintenance, calibration, and repair of medical equipment used in our training programs. This role requires a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with faculty and staff to ensure that all equipment is functioning optimally for educational purposes.

Key Responsibilities:

- Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of biomedical equipment used in the education sector, including simulators, diagnostic tools, and laboratory equipment.
- Conduct regular inspections and safety checks on all biomedical devices to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with faculty members to provide technical support and training on the use and maintenance of medical equipment.
- Assist in the development and implementation of training programs for students on the proper use and care of biomedical equipment.
- Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair activities, including equipment logs and inventory management.
- Stay updated on the latest developments in biomedical technology and educational practices to enhance the institution's training capabilities.
- Respond promptly to equipment malfunctions and coordinate with external vendors for repairs when necessary.
- Ensure that all biomedical equipment is calibrated and functioning to meet the specific needs of the educational programs.
- Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to the continuous improvement of biomedical equipment management processes.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related field.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in biomedical equipment maintenance and repair, preferably within an educational or clinical setting.
- Strong knowledge of medical devices, equipment calibration, and safety standards.
- Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and software for equipment troubleshooting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with faculty, staff, and students.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements and quality standards related to biomedical equipment.

Desired Skills:

- Experience with simulation technology and educational medical devices is a plus.
- Ability to train and mentor students and staff on the use of biomedical equipment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in computer applications related to biomedical engineering and maintenance management.
