Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Biostatistician to join our team in Abu Dhabi, specializing in the transportation and logistics sector. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in analyzing and interpreting complex data sets to drive informed decision-making and optimize operational efficiencies. This position is perfect for an individual with a strong background in biostatistics, data analysis, and a passion for applying statistical methodologies in a dynamic industry environment.

Key Responsibilities:

- Data Collection and Management: Develop and implement data collection systems and strategies for optimizing statistical efficiency and data quality. Ensure accurate data management practices to support various transportation and logistics projects.

- Statistical Analysis: Conduct rigorous statistical analyses using various methodologies including regression analysis, survival analysis, and multivariate analysis to address transportation-related research questions and operational challenges.

- Model Development: Create predictive models and simulations to forecast demand, optimize routes, and improve service delivery. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate statistical models into operational strategies.

- Reporting and Visualization: Generate comprehensive reports and visualizations that communicate complex statistical concepts and findings to non-technical stakeholders. Present findings and recommendations clearly and effectively to management and other departments.

- Collaboration: Work closely with transportation planners, logistics coordinators, and other stakeholders to identify areas for improvement and provide statistical insights that support strategic initiatives.

- Research and Development: Stay updated on the latest statistical methodologies and technologies relevant to the transportation and logistics industry. Propose innovative solutions and research initiatives to enhance data-driven decision-making.

- Compliance and Quality Assurance: Ensure all statistical practices comply with industry standards and regulations. Participate in the development and implementation of quality assurance procedures for data collection and analysis.

Qualifications:

- Master's degree in Biostatistics, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field.
- A minimum of 3 to 7 years of relevant experience in biostatistics or data analysis, preferably within the transportation and logistics sector.
- Proficiency in statistical software such as R, SAS, SPSS, or similar tools.
- Strong programming skills in languages such as Python or SQL for data manipulation and analysis.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and a keen attention to detail.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate complex statistical concepts to diverse audiences.
- Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
