Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Building Services Manager to oversee and manage the maintenance, operations, and strategic development of our facilities in Abu Dhabi. The ideal candidate will possess a comprehensive understanding of building services management within the financial services sector, ensuring our facilities provide a safe, efficient, and conducive environment for our employees and clients.

Key Responsibilities:

- Facility Management: Oversee the day-to-day operations of the building services, including maintenance, cleaning, security, and landscaping. Ensure that all facilities comply with local regulations and health and safety standards.

- Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop a team of facilities personnel including technicians, janitorial staff, and security personnel. Foster a collaborative and high-performance culture.

- Budget Management: Prepare and manage the annual budget for building services, ensuring efficient allocation of resources. Monitor expenses and identify cost-saving opportunities.

- Vendor Management: Liaise with external service providers, contractors, and suppliers to ensure services are delivered to a high standard. Negotiate contracts and oversee performance against service level agreements.

- Project Management: Plan and manage renovation, construction, and improvement projects within the facilities. Coordinate with internal stakeholders to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.

- Health and Safety Compliance: Ensure all building services operations comply with health and safety regulations. Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify and mitigate risks.

- Sustainability Initiatives: Implement and promote sustainability practices within the building operations, including energy conservation and waste reduction initiatives.

- Emergency Preparedness: Develop and maintain emergency response plans and conduct regular drills to ensure readiness for various emergency situations.

- Reporting: Prepare and present regular reports on building services performance, including maintenance schedules, incident reports, and budget status to senior management.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in Facility Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in building services management, preferably within the financial services industry.
- Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations, building codes, and standards applicable to facilities management.
- Proven experience in budget management and cost control.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in facility management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Knowledge of sustainability practices and energy management is a plus.
