Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Cargo Agent Assistant to join our dynamic team in Abu Dhabi’s manufacturing sector. The ideal candidate will support the cargo operations by assisting with the coordination, documentation, and handling of cargo shipments. This role is crucial in ensuring the smooth and efficient movement of goods, contributing to our operational excellence and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

- Assist in the day-to-day operations of cargo handling, including the preparation, processing, and tracking of shipping documents.
- Collaborate with cargo agents to ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and company policies regarding the transportation of goods.
- Maintain accurate records of shipments, including bills of lading, customs documentation, and inventory logs.
- Communicate effectively with internal teams, shipping companies, and clients to ensure timely updates and resolution of any issues related to cargo.
- Coordinate with warehouse staff for the proper loading, unloading, and storage of cargo, ensuring safety and adherence to quality standards.
- Monitor shipment schedules and provide updates to stakeholders regarding the status of cargo, including any delays or discrepancies.
- Assist in the preparation of reports related to cargo operations, including performance metrics and shipment status.
- Contribute to the improvement of operational processes by identifying inefficiencies and suggesting solutions.
- Support the cargo team in compliance audits and inspections as required.

Qualifications:

- High school diploma or equivalent; a degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field is a plus.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in cargo handling, logistics, or related fields within the manufacturing industry.
- Familiarity with cargo documentation and shipping regulations, including customs procedures.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, in English; proficiency in Arabic is an advantage.
- Proficient in using computer software applications, including MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and cargo management systems.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment and maintain a customer-focused approach.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude towards tasks.
