Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Catering Program Manager to lead our catering operations in the agricultural sector. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in catering management, a passion for sustainable agriculture, and exceptional organizational skills. The Catering Program Manager will be responsible for overseeing catering services that promote local agricultural products, ensuring high standards of quality and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

- Program Development: Design, implement, and manage catering programs that highlight local and seasonal agricultural products. Work closely with farmers and local producers to source high-quality ingredients.

- Operational Management: Oversee all aspects of catering operations, including menu planning, food preparation, staffing, and logistics. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, as well as organizational standards.

- Team Leadership: Recruit, train, and supervise catering staff, fostering a positive work environment and promoting teamwork. Provide ongoing training and development opportunities for team members.

- Client Relations: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, addressing their needs and preferences. Prepare and present proposals for catering events, ensuring alignment with client expectations.

- Budget Management: Develop and manage the catering budget, ensuring the efficient use of resources. Monitor expenses and revenue, making adjustments as necessary to achieve financial targets.

- Marketing and Promotion: Collaborate with the marketing team to create promotional materials and campaigns that showcase catering offerings and local agricultural products. Participate in community events and trade shows to promote catering services.

- Quality Assurance: Establish and maintain quality control standards for food preparation and service. Conduct regular assessments and audits to ensure consistency and excellence in catering services.

- Sustainability Initiatives: Champion sustainable practices within catering operations, such as reducing food waste, using eco-friendly materials, and promoting farm-to-table concepts.

- Reporting and Analysis: Prepare regular reports on catering operations, including performance metrics, client feedback, and financial outcomes. Analyze data to identify trends and areas for improvement.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Culinary Arts, Business Administration, or a related field.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in catering management, preferably within the agricultural sector or food service industry.
- Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work under pressure.
- Proficiency in budgeting and financial management.
- Passion for local agriculture and sustainable practices.
