Job Description:

We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic Chief Risk Officer (CRO) to join our pharmaceutical company based in Dubai. The CRO will be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of risk within the organization, ensuring compliance with regulations and industry standards, and developing strategies to mitigate potential risks.

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop and implement risk management policies, procedures, and strategies to identify, assess, and mitigate risks across all business functions.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to establish risk management goals and objectives that align with the company's overall strategic vision.
- Monitor and analyze industry trends, regulatory changes, and market developments to proactively identify potential risks and opportunities.
- Lead the risk assessment process to identify key risk areas and develop mitigation strategies to protect the company's assets and reputation.
- Provide guidance and support to business units on risk-related matters, including compliance, operational risk, and financial risk management.
- Develop and maintain relationships with external stakeholders, including regulatory agencies, industry organizations, and business partners, to stay informed of best practices and emerging risks.
- Prepare and present regular reports to the board of directors and executive leadership on the company's risk profile, key risk exposures, and risk management strategies.
- Lead and mentor a team of risk management professionals to ensure a culture of risk awareness and compliance throughout the organization.

Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree in business, finance, risk management, or a related field. Advanced degree (MBA, JD, or equivalent) preferred.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in risk management, compliance, or related roles within the pharmaceutical industry.
- Proven track record of developing and implementing risk management strategies in a complex and highly regulated environment.
- Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements, industry standards, and best practices related to risk management.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and leadership skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
