Position Overview:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced City Manager to oversee and enhance healthcare services in Abu Dhabi. The ideal candidate will possess a robust background in healthcare management, urban planning, and community engagement, and will be responsible for the strategic direction, operational management, and performance of healthcare facilities and services within the city. This role will require collaboration with government agencies, healthcare providers, and community stakeholders to ensure the delivery of high-quality healthcare services that meet the needs of the population.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Strategic Planning and Development:
- Develop and implement comprehensive healthcare strategies that align with the city’s health objectives and governmental regulations.
- Analyze healthcare trends and data to identify service gaps and opportunities for improvement.
- Collaborate with local health authorities to establish public health initiatives and programs.

2. Operational Management:
- Oversee the daily operations of healthcare facilities, ensuring compliance with health regulations and quality standards.
- Manage budgets, resource allocation, and staffing to achieve operational efficiency and excellence in patient care.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess the effectiveness of healthcare services and make data-driven decisions for improvement.

3. Community Engagement:
- Foster relationships with community leaders, healthcare providers, and residents to promote awareness of healthcare services and initiatives.
- Organize community health events, workshops, and seminars to educate the public on health issues and available services.
- Act as a liaison between the city government and healthcare stakeholders to advocate for community health needs.

4. Policy Development and Compliance:
- Stay abreast of local, regional, and national healthcare policies and regulations, ensuring all practices are compliant.
- Develop and enforce policies that enhance the quality of care and patient safety within healthcare facilities.
- Prepare and present reports to city officials and stakeholders on healthcare performance and strategic initiatives.

5. Team Leadership:
- Lead, mentor, and develop a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals and administrative staff.
- Promote a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement within the healthcare workforce.
- Facilitate training and development programs to enhance staff skills and knowledge in healthcare delivery.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Public Health, Business Administration, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years and a maximum of 8 years of experience in healthcare management or a related field, with a focus on urban healthcare systems.
- Proven track record of successfully managing healthcare operations and driving performance improvements.
- Strong understanding of healthcare regulations, policies, and best practices in the UAE.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage diverse stakeholders.
- Familiarity with healthcare data analytics and performance measurement tools.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make informed decisions under pressure.
