Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Clinical Laboratory Scientist with a strong background in Information Technology to join our dynamic team in Dubai. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing laboratory processes and integrating advanced technology solutions to enhance laboratory operations, improve diagnostic accuracy, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards. Key Responsibilities:

1. Laboratory Operations:
- Conduct routine and complex laboratory tests on biological samples, including blood, urine, and tissue.
- Analyze test results and ensure accuracy and reliability of data.
- Implement and maintain quality control procedures to adhere to laboratory standards and regulations.

2. Information Technology Integration:
- Collaborate with IT teams to develop and maintain laboratory information systems (LIS).
- Utilize data analytics to streamline laboratory workflows and improve efficiency.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to laboratory equipment and software.

3. Quality Assurance:
- Participate in internal audits and inspections to ensure compliance with CLIA, CAP, and other regulatory requirements.
- Maintain documentation related to laboratory procedures, quality control, and equipment maintenance.
- Develop and implement training programs for laboratory staff on new technologies and procedures.

4. Research and Development:
- Engage in research initiatives to evaluate new laboratory tests and technologies.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to enhance patient care through innovative laboratory solutions.
- Stay current with industry trends and advancements in laboratory science and information technology.

5. Collaboration and Communication:
- Work closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare staff to interpret laboratory results and provide clinical insights.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders regarding laboratory operations, results, and technology updates.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient care and laboratory contributions.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in Clinical Laboratory Science, Medical Laboratory Technology, or a related field.
- Certification as a Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS) or Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) from a recognized accrediting body.
- A minimum of 3 to 7 years of experience in a clinical laboratory setting, with a focus on laboratory information technology.
- Proficiency in laboratory information systems and data management software.
- Strong analytical skills with a problem-solving mindset.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively within a team.

Preferred Skills:

- Experience with electronic health records (EHR) and interfacing laboratory systems with hospital networks.
