Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Collections Operations Manager to lead our collections team in the energy sector. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the collections process, ensuring timely payments from customers, and maintaining strong relationships with clients. This role demands a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of collections operations, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively across various departments.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Collections Strategy Development:
- Develop and implement robust collections strategies to optimize cash flow and reduce days sales outstanding (DSO).
- Analyze current collections processes and identify areas for improvement, implementing best practices to enhance efficiency.

2. Team Leadership:
- Lead, mentor, and motivate the collections team to achieve individual and team goals.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide training and development opportunities to team members.

3. Customer Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients to facilitate timely collections and address any payment issues.
- Collaborate with sales and customer service teams to ensure a seamless experience for clients and to resolve disputes effectively.

4. Reporting and Analytics:
- Prepare and present regular reports on collections performance, including aging reports, cash flow forecasts, and DSO metrics to senior management.
- Utilize data analytics to identify trends, monitor performance, and drive decision-making.

5. Compliance and Risk Management:
- Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and legal requirements related to collections.
- Identify and mitigate risks associated with credit and collections processes.

6. Process Improvement:
- Continuously evaluate and enhance the collections workflow, leveraging technology and automation to streamline operations.
- Work closely with IT to implement and maintain collections software and tools.

7. Collaboration and Communication:
- Collaborate with finance, accounting, and legal departments to resolve complex issues and ensure alignment on collections strategies.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels, providing updates on collections status and addressing concerns promptly.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in collections, finance, or credit management, preferably within the energy sector.
- Proven experience in managing collections operations and leading a team.
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency in data analysis and reporting.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of relevant regulations and compliance standards in the UAE.
- Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
