Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Copy Machine Technician Assistant to join our team in the construction sector in Sharjah. The ideal candidate will assist in the maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of copy machines and other related office equipment. This position is essential to ensuring that our office operations run smoothly and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

- Assist the Copy Machine Technician in performing routine maintenance on various types of copy machines, including cleaning, inspections, and part replacements.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to copy machines, including paper jams, poor print quality, and software malfunctions.
- Maintain an inventory of spare parts and supplies needed for repairs and maintenance, ensuring timely procurement when necessary.
- Document all service visits, repairs, and maintenance tasks performed on equipment in an organized manner.
- Provide technical support to office staff regarding the proper use of copy machines, including setting up machines for specific jobs.
- Collaborate with the IT department to ensure proper connectivity and functionality of networked copy machines.
- Assist in training new staff on the operation and care of copy machines.
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.

Qualifications:

- High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification in electronics or a related field is a plus.
- 2 to 5 years of experience in a technical support role, preferably in the maintenance and repair of copy machines or similar office equipment.
- Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical systems.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical staff.
- Proficiency in using basic tools and diagnostic equipment for repairs.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with construction office equipment and practices is an advantage.
