Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Crime Analyst to join our team in Abu Dhabi, focusing on the telecommunications sector. The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical background and a passion for utilizing data to combat and prevent crime within the telecommunications landscape. This role is critical in ensuring the safety and security of our operations and customers.

Key Responsibilities:

- Analyze crime trends and patterns within the telecommunications sector, utilizing various data sources to identify potential threats and vulnerabilities.
- Collaborate with law enforcement agencies, internal security teams, and other stakeholders to share intelligence and best practices in crime prevention.
- Develop and maintain sophisticated analytical models to predict and mitigate risks associated with telecommunications fraud, cybercrime, and other criminal activities.
- Prepare detailed reports and presentations on crime analysis findings, making recommendations for strategic initiatives and operational improvements.
- Conduct spatial analysis using Geographic Information Systems (GIS) to identify hotspots of criminal activity and support targeted interventions.
- Assist in the development of policies and procedures related to crime prevention and response, ensuring compliance with local laws and regulations.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of crime prevention initiatives, adjusting strategies as necessary based on data-driven insights.
- Participate in training and awareness programs for staff to enhance understanding of telecommunications-related crime and promote a culture of security.
- Stay updated on emerging crime trends, technologies, and methodologies to ensure the organization remains proactive in its approach to crime prevention.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice, Data Analytics, Information Technology, or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus.
- 3 to 7 years of relevant experience in crime analysis, data analysis, or a related field, preferably within the telecommunications industry.
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in statistical analysis and data visualization tools (e.g., Excel, Tableau, Power BI).
- Experience with GIS software and spatial analysis techniques.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present complex data in a clear and concise manner.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically under pressure.
- Knowledge of telecommunications operations, fraud detection, and cybercrime trends is highly desirable.
- Proficient in using various data management and analysis software (e.g., SQL, Python, R).
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
