Job Description:

We are seeking a motivated and reliable Delivery Driver Assistant to join our dynamic team in the construction sector in Dubai. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting our delivery operations, ensuring that materials and equipment are transported safely and efficiently to various construction sites across the region.

Key Responsibilities:

- Assist the Delivery Driver: Support the driver in loading and unloading construction materials and equipment from the vehicle, ensuring that all items are secured properly to prevent damage during transit.

- Route Planning: Assist in planning delivery routes and schedules to optimize efficiency and timeliness, while considering traffic conditions and construction site accessibility.

- Inventory Management: Help maintain accurate inventory records of materials loaded and unloaded, reporting any discrepancies or damages to the supervisor.

- Site Coordination: Collaborate with site managers and construction teams to confirm delivery schedules and ensure that materials are delivered to the correct locations on-site.

- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety regulations and protocols while on the job, promoting a safe work environment for yourself and team members. This includes wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.

- Maintenance of Delivery Vehicle: Assist in the routine inspection and maintenance of the delivery vehicle, ensuring it is clean, well-maintained, and in compliance with safety standards.

- Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with construction site personnel, addressing any questions or concerns regarding deliveries, and ensuring a positive experience.

- Documentation: Support the driver in completing delivery paperwork and obtaining necessary signatures upon delivery of materials.

Qualifications:

- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in a delivery or logistics role, preferably within the construction industry.

- Education: High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications in logistics or transportation are a plus.

- Skills:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
- Good organizational and time-management skills.
- Basic knowledge of construction materials and equipment is advantageous.

- Physical Fitness: Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks associated with loading and unloading materials.

- Driving License: A valid UAE driving license is required; familiarity with local traffic laws and regulations is essential.
