Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and creative Design Manager to join our dynamic team in the telecommunications sector based in Dubai. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the design team in developing innovative and user-centric design solutions for our telecommunications products and services. This role requires a blend of strategic thinking, design expertise, and project management skills to ensure the delivery of high-quality design outcomes that meet both business and user needs.

Key Responsibilities:

- Leadership and Team Management:
- Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of designers, fostering a collaborative and creative environment.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to team members to support their professional growth.

- Design Strategy:
- Develop and implement design strategies that align with the company's vision and business objectives.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product management, marketing, and engineering, to ensure design consistency and quality across all projects.

- Project Management:
- Oversee multiple design projects from concept to execution, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget.
- Define project scope, timelines, and deliverables while managing stakeholder expectations throughout the design process.

- User-Centric Design:
- Advocate for user-centered design principles and conduct user research to gather insights that inform design decisions.
- Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs that enhance user experience and meet business goals.

- Quality Assurance:
- Review and critique design work, providing guidance and recommendations for improvements.
- Ensure that all design outputs are of the highest quality and adhere to brand guidelines and standards.

- Market Analysis:
- Stay informed about industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitors' design practices to inspire innovative solutions.
- Conduct competitive analysis to identify opportunities for differentiation in design.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in Design, Graphic Design, Interaction Design, or a related field. A Master’s degree is a plus.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in design management, preferably in the telecommunications industry or a related field.
- Proven experience in leading design teams and managing design projects from conception through execution.
- Strong portfolio showcasing a range of design projects, demonstrating creativity and an understanding of user-centered design principles.
- Proficient in design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch, Figma, and prototyping tools.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with a keen eye for aesthetics and visual design.
- Knowledge of telecommunications technologies and trends is highly desirable.
