Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Design Project Manager to join our team in the Transportation and Logistics sector. The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading and managing design projects from inception to completion, ensuring that all objectives are met within the specified time frame and budget. This role requires a strong understanding of design principles, project management methodologies, and the unique challenges associated with the transportation and logistics industry.

Key Responsibilities:

- Project Leadership: Oversee multiple design projects simultaneously, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and strategies. Facilitate project kick-offs, design reviews, and stakeholder meetings.

- Design Coordination: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineers, architects, and logistics experts, to develop innovative design solutions that enhance operational efficiency and meet client demands.

- Budget Management: Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring resources are allocated efficiently and costs are controlled throughout the project lifecycle.

- Timeline Development: Create detailed project timelines, monitor progress, and adjust schedules as necessary to meet deadlines.

- Client Interaction: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, providing regular updates on project status and addressing any concerns or changes in requirements.

- Quality Assurance: Ensure that all design outputs meet the highest standards of quality and compliance with industry regulations and standards.

- Risk Management: Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize impact on project delivery.

- Documentation: Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including design specifications, meeting notes, and progress reports.

- Team Development: Mentor and support junior team members, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Design, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years and maximum of 8 years of experience in design project management, preferably in the transportation and logistics sector.
- Proven track record of successfully managing complex design projects from concept to completion.
- Strong knowledge of design software and tools relevant to the transportation and logistics industry.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Familiarity with project management methodologies and tools (e.g., Agile, Waterfall, MS Project, Trello).
