Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Drug Rehabilitation Counselor to join our team in Ras Al Khaimah. This position is pivotal in helping individuals overcome substance abuse issues and reintegrate into society, particularly within the context of the retail environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in counseling, addiction recovery, and the retail sector, demonstrating a commitment to supporting clients through their rehabilitation journey.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Client Assessment:
- Conduct thorough assessments of clients to determine their specific needs and develop individualized treatment plans.
- Utilize diagnostic tools and interviews to evaluate the extent of substance abuse and its impact on clients' lives.

2. Counseling and Support:
- Provide one-on-one and group counseling sessions to clients, focusing on coping strategies, relapse prevention, and emotional support.
- Facilitate educational workshops and support groups aimed at enhancing clients' understanding of addiction and recovery processes.

3. Collaboration:
- Work closely with healthcare professionals, social workers, and family members to create a comprehensive support network for clients.
- Collaborate with retail management to develop programs that support employees struggling with substance abuse, fostering a healthier work environment.

4. Monitoring Progress:
- Regularly evaluate and document clients' progress toward their recovery goals, adjusting treatment plans as necessary.
- Provide ongoing support and motivation to clients, helping them navigate challenges encountered during their rehabilitation.

5. Crisis Intervention:
- Respond to emergency situations and provide immediate support to clients in crisis, ensuring their safety and well-being.
- Implement de-escalation techniques and crisis management strategies when necessary.

6. Community Outreach:
- Participate in community programs and initiatives to raise awareness about substance abuse and available resources for rehabilitation.
- Network with local organizations to promote recovery programs and support services.

7. Education and Training:
- Stay updated on the latest research and best practices in addiction treatment and counseling.
- Provide training and resources to retail staff on recognizing signs of substance abuse and how to support affected colleagues.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or a related field. A Master’s degree is a plus.
- A minimum of 3 to 7 years of experience in drug rehabilitation counseling, preferably within a retail environment.
- Strong knowledge of addiction recovery principles and techniques.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport with clients.
- Ability to handle sensitive situations with empathy and professionalism.
- Certification in substance abuse counseling or a related credential is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in Arabic and English is preferred.
