Job Description:

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Editorial Assistant to join our dynamic editorial team in the thriving retail sector in Dubai. This role is ideal for an individual who is passionate about retail trends, product innovation, and creating engaging content that resonates with diverse audiences. The successful candidate will support the editorial team in various tasks, contributing to the production of high-quality editorial content across multiple platforms, including print, digital, and social media.

Key Responsibilities:

- Assist in the research and development of content ideas that align with our retail brand's vision and strategy.
- Collaborate with editors and writers to prepare, edit, and proofread articles, product descriptions, and promotional materials, ensuring clarity, accuracy, and adherence to brand guidelines.
- Conduct thorough market research to stay updated on the latest trends in retail, fashion, and consumer behavior, providing insights that inform editorial direction.
- Manage the editorial calendar, ensuring timely publication of content and adherence to deadlines.
- Support the coordination of photo shoots, interviews, and events, including logistics and communication with external vendors and partners.
- Help maintain the brand's online presence by updating website content, managing social media accounts, and engaging with followers.
- Assist in the preparation of reports and analytics to evaluate content performance and audience engagement.
- Provide administrative support to the editorial team, including scheduling meetings, organizing files, and maintaining databases.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Communications, Marketing, or a related field.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in an editorial or content-related role, preferably within the retail sector.
- Strong writing and editing skills, with a keen eye for detail and the ability to adapt tone and style to different audiences and platforms.
- Proficiency in digital media tools and content management systems; experience with SEO best practices is a plus.
- Excellent research skills, with the ability to synthesize information and present it in a clear and engaging manner.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with social media platforms and digital marketing strategies.
- Proactive attitude, willingness to learn, and ability to work collaboratively within a team.
