Position Overview:
The Editorial Director Assistant will play a crucial role in supporting the Editorial Director in managing the editorial vision and strategy for our consumer goods publications. This position requires a detail-oriented individual with a strong understanding of content creation, editorial processes, and the consumer goods industry. The successful candidate will assist in coordinating editorial projects, managing schedules, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality content across various platforms.
Key Responsibilities:
- Editorial Support: Assist the Editorial Director in developing and implementing editorial strategies, ensuring alignment with brand objectives and audience needs.
- Content Coordination: Manage the editorial calendar, including scheduling meetings, tracking deadlines, and ensuring timely completion of all editorial projects.
- Research and Analysis: Conduct market research and competitor analysis to inform editorial decisions and identify trends in the consumer goods sector.
- Content Creation: Collaborate with the editorial team to produce compelling articles, product descriptions, and marketing collateral that resonate with our target audience.
- Quality Assurance: Review and proofread content for accuracy, clarity, and adherence to brand guidelines before publication.
- Collaboration: Foster relationships with internal teams, including marketing, design, and sales, to ensure cohesive messaging and branding across all channels.
- Project Management: Assist in the organization of editorial meetings, documentation of minutes, and follow-up on action items to ensure project milestones are met.
- Performance Tracking: Monitor and analyze content performance metrics, providing insights and recommendations to enhance engagement and reach.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in editorial support, content creation, or project management, preferably within the consumer goods sector.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a keen eye for detail.
- Proficiency in content management systems and Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with design software is a plus.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Passion for consumer goods and a solid understanding of industry trends and consumer behavior.
