Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Epidemiology Specialist to join our team in Abu Dhabi. The successful candidate will play a critical role in analyzing public health data, studying disease patterns, and providing insights to inform our consumer goods strategies. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure our products meet the health and safety needs of the population while promoting public health initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct epidemiological research to identify trends, risk factors, and health outcomes related to consumer goods.
- Analyze and interpret health data from various sources, including surveys, clinical studies, and public health reports.
- Develop and implement epidemiological studies to assess the impact of products on community health.
- Collaborate with marketing, product development, and regulatory affairs teams to ensure that consumer goods align with health guidelines and regulations.
- Prepare detailed reports and presentations to communicate findings to stakeholders, including governmental agencies and public health organizations.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of health interventions and recommend improvements based on data analysis.
- Stay updated on emerging public health issues, relevant research, and regulatory changes affecting consumer goods.
- Assist in the development of health education materials aimed at enhancing public awareness of health issues related to consumer products.
- Participate in cross-functional meetings to provide epidemiological insights that support business strategies and product innovation.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Epidemiology, Public Health, Biostatistics, or a related field.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in epidemiology or public health, preferably within the consumer goods sector.
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in statistical software (e.g., SAS, R, SPSS).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to convey complex information to non-technical audiences.
- Experience in conducting research and managing public health projects.
- Knowledge of local and international health regulations and standards related to consumer products.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
