Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Estimating Coordinator to join our dynamic construction team in Dubai. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the estimating department by managing and coordinating all aspects of the estimating process for various construction projects. The Estimating Coordinator will be responsible for ensuring that project estimates are accurate, timely, and aligned with company standards and client expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

- Estimate Preparation: Assist in the development of project estimates by collecting and analyzing data related to labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor costs.
- Data Management: Maintain and update the estimating database, ensuring all information is current and accurate. This includes tracking historical costs and analyzing trends to improve future estimates.
- Coordination with Teams: Collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to gather relevant information for accurate estimates. Facilitate communication between departments to ensure all inputs are considered.
- Bid Documentation: Prepare and organize bid documentation, ensuring that all necessary documents are included in submissions. Review bids for compliance with client requirements and internal standards.
- Vendor and Subcontractor Liaison: Manage relationships with vendors and subcontractors to obtain pricing and scope information. Coordinate the solicitation of quotes and evaluate subcontractor proposals.
- Cost Analysis: Conduct thorough cost analysis and comparison of estimates to actual project costs, identifying discrepancies and areas for improvement.
- Reporting: Generate and maintain reports on estimating activities, providing insights on bid performance and success rates to management.
- Continuous Improvement: Assist in the development and implementation of best practices for the estimating process, contributing to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the department.
- Training and Support: Provide support and training to junior estimating staff as needed, fostering a collaborative team environment.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or a related field.
- A minimum of 3 years and a maximum of 7 years of experience in estimating within the construction industry.
- Strong understanding of construction processes, materials, and methodologies.
- Proficient in estimating software and tools, as well as Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Excellent analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Strong organizational abilities and the capacity to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Knowledge of local construction regulations and standards in Dubai is a plus.
