Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive Fire Marshal to join our team in Dubai, focusing on the Information Technology sector. This role is critical in ensuring the safety and compliance of our IT facilities, which include data centers, server rooms, and office spaces. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in fire safety regulations, risk management, and emergency response procedures, and will play a key role in fostering a culture of safety within our organization.

Key Responsibilities:

- Fire Safety Management: Develop, implement, and maintain a comprehensive fire safety program for IT facilities. Ensure compliance with local fire safety regulations and international standards.

- Risk Assessment: Conduct regular fire risk assessments and audits of all IT-related facilities. Identify potential hazards and recommend corrective actions to mitigate risks.

- Emergency Preparedness: Develop and maintain emergency response plans, procedures, and evacuation strategies. Conduct regular drills and training sessions for staff to ensure preparedness in the event of a fire emergency.

- Training and Awareness: Provide fire safety training and awareness programs for all employees, focusing on fire prevention, evacuation procedures, and the proper use of fire extinguishers and other safety equipment.

- Investigation and Reporting: Investigate any fire incidents, accidents, or near misses, documenting findings and providing recommendations for improvements. Prepare detailed reports for management and regulatory bodies.

- Collaboration: Work closely with IT departments, facility management, and other relevant stakeholders to ensure fire safety measures are integrated into all operations and projects.

- Equipment and Maintenance: Oversee the installation and maintenance of fire detection and suppression systems, ensuring their effectiveness and compliance with safety standards.

- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of all fire safety inspections, training sessions, risk assessments, and incidents. Ensure all documentation is up to date and accessible.

- Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on the latest fire safety technologies, materials, and best practices in the IT industry. Propose enhancements to existing safety protocols and procedures.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in Fire Science, Emergency Management, Occupational Health and Safety, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in fire safety management, preferably within the Information Technology sector.
- Knowledge of local and international fire safety regulations and standards.
- Certification as a Fire Marshal or equivalent is highly desirable.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess complex situations and make sound decisions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of training and motivating staff on fire safety practices.
- Proficiency in using fire safety equipment and technologies.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
