Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Food Service Assistant to join our team in Abu Dhabi. This role is essential in supporting the food service operations within a financial services environment, providing high-quality meals and exceptional customer service to our employees and guests. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food service, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced setting.

Key Responsibilities:

- Assist in the preparation and serving of food and beverages to employees and guests within the financial services office.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including food safety standards and cleanliness of the service area.
- Support kitchen staff in the daily operations, including food preparation, dishwashing, and maintaining inventory levels of food and supplies.
- Set up and replenish food stations and dining areas, ensuring an inviting and appealing presentation.
- Provide excellent customer service by greeting guests, taking meal orders, and addressing any inquiries or concerns promptly and professionally.
- Participate in regular training sessions to stay updated on food safety, dietary requirements, and service standards.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during peak service times and special events.
- Assist in the cleaning and sanitization of kitchen equipment, utensils, and dining areas to ensure a hygienic environment.
- Monitor and report any maintenance or equipment issues to the supervisor to ensure timely resolution.
- Help with special catering events and themed food days as required.

Qualifications:

- High school diploma or equivalent; additional culinary or hospitality training is a plus.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in food service or hospitality, preferably in a corporate environment.
- Basic knowledge of food preparation and cooking techniques.
- Familiarity with food safety and sanitation practices.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment and maintain a positive attitude.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including mornings, evenings, and weekends as needed.
