About the Role:

We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Furniture Designer Assistant to join our innovative team in Ajman. This position is ideal for individuals who are passionate about furniture design and have an interest in integrating agricultural themes into their work. As a Furniture Designer Assistant, you will support our lead designer in creating functional and aesthetically pleasing furniture pieces that embody sustainability and creativity.

Key Responsibilities:

- Assist in the design and development of furniture pieces, focusing on agricultural themes and sustainable materials.
- Collaborate with the lead designer to create sketches, models, and prototypes of furniture items.
- Conduct research on current design trends, materials, and techniques relevant to furniture design and agriculture.
- Prepare technical drawings and specifications for production, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
- Source materials and components from suppliers, ensuring they meet quality and sustainability standards.
- Participate in brainstorming sessions and contribute creative ideas for new designs and collections.
- Assist in the preparation of presentations for clients, showcasing design concepts and prototypes.
- Coordinate with the production team to ensure designs are implemented accurately and efficiently.
- Support the team in managing project timelines and deadlines, ensuring all tasks are completed on schedule.
- Maintain a well-organized workspace and keep design materials and samples up to date.

Requirements:

- Bachelor’s degree in Furniture Design, Industrial Design, or a related field.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in furniture design or a similar role.
- Proficient in design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, or Adobe Creative Suite.
- Strong understanding of materials and manufacturing processes in furniture design.
- Creative mindset with an ability to think outside the box and propose innovative solutions.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with various stakeholders.
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- A passion for sustainable design and an understanding of agricultural concepts is a plus.
