Job Description:

We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Furniture Designer Assistant to join our dynamic team in Ajman, specializing in the Transportation and Logistics sector. This role will provide essential support to our lead furniture designers in the conceptualization, development, and production of innovative furniture solutions tailored to meet the needs of our clients in the logistics industry.

Key Responsibilities:

- Assist in the design and development of furniture pieces that enhance functionality and aesthetic appeal within transportation and logistics settings.
- Collaborate with the lead designer to create detailed sketches, 3D models, and presentation materials for client proposals.
- Conduct research on current trends in furniture design, materials, and manufacturing processes to inform design decisions.
- Prepare and maintain design documentation, including specifications, samples, and material selections.
- Participate in brainstorming sessions and contribute creative ideas for new product lines or improvements to existing designs.
- Coordinate with suppliers and manufacturers to source materials and ensure timely delivery of prototypes and finished products.
- Assist in the production process by working closely with craftsmen and manufacturers to oversee quality control and adherence to design specifications.
- Help organize and maintain the design studio, ensuring all materials and resources are readily available for design work.
- Attend client meetings and site visits to gather insights and feedback that will inform future design projects.
- Stay updated on industry developments, new technologies, and software relevant to furniture design and logistics.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in Furniture Design, Industrial Design, or a related field.
- A minimum of 2 to 5 years of experience in furniture design or a related role.
- Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar tools.
- Strong understanding of materials and manufacturing processes specific to furniture production.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to present ideas clearly and effectively.
- Creative mindset with a keen eye for detail and design aesthetics.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and take constructive feedback.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
