Job Description:

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Gas Engineer to join our team in Al Ain, focusing on the education sector. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient installation, maintenance, and repair of gas systems and appliances within educational facilities. This role requires a deep understanding of gas engineering principles, relevant regulations, and a commitment to safety and sustainability in an educational environment.

Key Responsibilities:

- Installation and Maintenance:
- Install and maintain gas appliances, systems, and associated equipment in compliance with safety regulations and industry standards.
- Conduct routine inspections and assessments of gas installations to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.

- Troubleshooting and Repair:
- Diagnose faults and perform repairs on malfunctioning gas systems and appliances.
- Respond promptly to service calls and emergencies, ensuring minimal disruption to educational operations.

- Safety Compliance:
- Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with local and national gas safety regulations.
- Conduct risk assessments and implement safety measures to mitigate potential hazards.

- Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate records of inspections, maintenance work, and repairs carried out.
- Prepare detailed reports and documentation for compliance and regulatory purposes.

- Collaboration and Training:
- Work closely with facility management and other stakeholders to coordinate maintenance schedules and ensure operational efficiency.
- Provide training and guidance to staff and students on the safe use of gas appliances and emergency procedures.

- Continuous Improvement:
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in gas engineering technology and best practices.
- Participate in ongoing professional development and training opportunities.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Gas Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in gas engineering, preferably within the education sector.
- Valid gas engineering certifications and licenses as required by local regulations.
- Strong knowledge of gas safety regulations, engineering principles, and best practices.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
